TimberTech Composite Deck with Aluminum Railing in Westboro

Composite deck was built for 2 new infill homes in the Ottawa neighborhood of Westboro, even though it looks like 1 deck…it is actually 2 decks.  There was a privacy screen later installed to divide the 2 spaces and provide some privacy on the deck. Originally the plan was to have a smaller deck, you can see in one of the pictures that they had concrete footings installed but once the footprint grew we had to install some helical piles to allow for the expansion.

The materials chose on the deck match the siding of the house perfectly.  The decking is a composite by TimberTech in the color of Sea Salt Grey and the black aluminum railing is by Regal Ideas.  Unfortunately with this deck color there were no screw and plug option to hide the face screw, so color matched it was. The deck is picture framed and is finished with skirting and fascia….we even installed a little door to access the underside of the deck.

Permits were approved as part of the home build with the City of Ottawa. We do also offer full design and permit packages as a service!
