Nepean Bathroom Renovation

A 1960's Ottawa Home Transformation

This was a much needed Nepean bathroom renovation. The bathroom was all original with old wood window, dated vanity and we can’t forget that pistachio green tub. Because of the date of the home testing revealed there to be asbestos in the drywall finish which needed a specialized removal for safety.

We updated this bathroom not only with modern finishes but with the latest in material technology. As an Ottawa bathroom renovator we provide options that will last a lifetime and this project was no exception.

Before bathroom renovation. 1960's bathroom

In this project we removed the old wood window and installed a new vinyl window to be more heat efficient. While in the removal phase we also added insulation and sealed up the window to eliminate heat loss.

As part of the transformation we also removed part of a partition wall that really opened it up and created an inviting feeling.

The lighting was upgraded with LED pot lights as well and a new vanity light.

The exhaust fan was on it’s last lag so we upgraded that to a new
Whisper Quite Fan by Panasonic. It was connected to the exterior vent with insulated duct, a sometimes overlooked detail when ducting through an attic.

The finishes were kept simple but with some style, a bathroom design doesn’t have to be magazine worthy and luxurious to bring a wow factor.

The floor tile are a variegated octagon, this means that there are purposely shade difference in the tile which gives it a bit of a textured look and some depth.

The shower tile were a common 4×16 tile but were laid in a vertical stack pattern which gives it a clean look and not a busy off-set. In the shower is a custom niche trimmed with tile edge in black to match the other bathroom finishes.

For the trim we selected a simple profile but something a bit different that the traditional colonial style.

Project complete. The bathroom has a modern octagon floor tile

The finished bathroom really is an eye opener and the finishes selected ensure that the design will be in style for years to come.

It’s a good feeling when all the details come together

As a quality based company you can be assured that we are invested in your project and this project was a testament to that.

Barrhaven Bathroom Renovation

A 5 Piece Bathroom in Stone Bridge

Transforming your bathroom into a modern, functional, and beautiful space starts with the right vision—and the right team. This Barrhaven bathroom renovation project is all about blending style, comfort, and smart design to create a space that truly works for everyday living. From updated fixtures and elegant finishes to improved layout and storage, every detail is carefully planned to elevate both form and function. Whether you’re looking for a spa-like retreat or a practical family bathroom, this Barrhaven bathroom renovation showcases how thoughtful upgrades can make a lasting impact.

Doing a flood test for the Schluter waterproof shower

This custom shower for our Barrhaven bathroom renovation definitely adds a finishing touch. But the looks aren’t as important as what lies beneath.

Custom showers need to have proper waterproofing to ensure longevity. Despite what most think tile and grout are porous meaning that they are not waterproof on their own. That’s why we trust a advanced waterproofing system made by Schluter.

Every custom shower gets a full inspection before tile installation begins. That process involves a 24 hour flood test of the shower pan. Once this test has passed we are confident that we can honour our warranty on the installation and our client has some insurance of quality.

A Custom Niche

One of the more popular options in a bathroom shower is a niche. We custom make these to match the size of the tile we are installing.

On this nice we used a Rondac tile trim by Schluter and finished the back of the niche with the shower floor tile. Switching the tile up in the niche makes it pop just a little.

Preparing the niche before tile is a series of steps to get everything to line up properly, be strong and of course…waterproof. If either of those steps is not done correctly the quality will suffer. As you can see in the photo all the tiles surrounding it line up perfectly.

We pride ourselves for quality Ottawa tile installation using modern techniques and tools. Experience combined with technique and tools is a recipe for perfection.

Tile installation is a very important part of every bathroom renovation and one of the most challenging.

Convenience in Your Basement....A Basement Bathroom!

Luxury Stittsville Basement Bathroom Features Custom Shower with Infinity Niche and Glass Enclosure

Homeowners in Stittsville are increasingly transforming their basements into functional and luxurious living spaces—and nothing elevates a finished basement quite like a well-designed bathroom. In one of our latest projects, we completed a Stittsville basement bathroom featuring a spa-like custom shower that combines high-end materials with thoughtful design. Let’s take a look inside this standout renovation.

Custom Shower in Stittsville Basement Bathroom

Custom Shower: The Showpiece of the Basement Bathroom

This project’s centerpiece is a fully custom walk-in shower designed with both style and functionality in mind. The space was limited, but with smart layout decisions and premium finishes, we delivered a shower that rivals those in upscale master suites.

🪞 Glass Enclosure for an Open Feel

To maximize the sense of space and keep the area light and airy, we installed a frameless glass enclosure. This minimalist design opens up the shower visually while still containing moisture effectively. It’s the perfect choice for a Stittsville basement bathroom, where natural light may be limited and openness is key.

🧱 Infinity Niche with Mitered Tile Edges

A standout feature is the infinity shower niche—a recessed shelf that blends seamlessly into the wall with a clean, uninterrupted look. We used mitered tile edges to create a smooth, seamless frame, avoiding metal edging or bulky trims. The result is a refined and luxurious look that adds both beauty and storage.

This detail, often seen in designer bathrooms, adds a high-end touch to the space while offering practical storage for shampoo bottles, soaps, and décor.

🪑 Built-In Custom Bench

Comfort and accessibility were also top priorities. We added a custom bench with a matching tile finish, perfect for sitting, shaving, or placing towels and bath products. It not only enhances comfort but also future-proofs the bathroom for long-term use.

Durable, Stylish Tile Work

Throughout the shower and bathroom floor, we installed large-format porcelain tiles chosen for both aesthetics and durability. These tiles are ideal for a basement environment where moisture resistance and ease of maintenance are essential.

The color palette leans neutral and modern—soft grays and warm taupes create a calming atmosphere while ensuring the space feels clean and cohesive.

Why Choose a Custom Basement Bathroom in Stittsville?

A basement bathroom is one of the smartest investments for your home—especially in a growing community like Stittsville. Whether it’s for guests, a rental suite, or personal use, a basement bathroom adds comfort, convenience, and resale value.

Working with a professional team ensures that every detail, from waterproofing to ventilation, is handled correctly. Our local experience with Stittsville basement bathrooms means we understand building codes, moisture management, and design that fits your lifestyle.

The Challenge

The original bathroom featured outdated fixtures, aging materials, and a layout that didn’t make efficient use of the available space.

Key issues included:

  • Poor storage and limited functionality
  • Moisture-prone areas lacking proper waterproofing
  • Worn tile and fixtures nearing end-of-life
  • Inefficient layout that restricted movement

The goal was to modernize the space while improving durability, usability, and overall design.

The Solution

Layout & Design Improvements

We optimized the layout to improve flow and maximize usable space. The updated design created a more open and functional environment while maintaining a clean, modern look.

Waterproofing & Tile Installation

Proper waterproofing is critical in any bathroom renovation—especially in Ottawa’s climate.

We installed a professional waterproofing system and completed high-quality tile work to ensure long-term durability and protection against moisture.

Fixtures & Finishes

To complete the transformation, we installed:

  • A modern vanity with improved storage
  • Updated plumbing fixtures
  • New lighting for a brighter, more inviting space
  • Clean, contemporary finishes for a polished look

Built for Ottawa Conditions

We ensure every project includes:
