Step 1 : Initial Contact

Client Inquiry
When a potential client contacts Jack Built via phone, email, social media or through an online inquiry form, we gather essential information such as:
- Project goals (e.g., new deck, deck replacement, home renovation)
- Location and type of property
- Approximate budget and expectations

Site Visit
We schedule a convenient time for a site visit to assess the space. During this visit, we will:
- Measure the area
- Take necessary photos for our records
- Discuss any specific requirements or challenges that might impact the project scope and costs
Step 2 : Estimate

Create a Detailed Estimate
Using a comprehensive estimate process, Jack Built ensures transparency and accuracy by including:
- Materials: Detail types of materials (wood, composite, vinyl, etc.) since material choices significantly impact costs.
- Labor Costs: Provide a breakdown of the labor required.
- Additional Costs: Consider all factors, such as terrain preparation, demolition (if applicable), and equipment use.
- Scope of Work: Describe the detailed tasks included, such as decking installation, railing installation, and any post-project cleanup to ensure the project is ready for use.
- Warranty: This will outline the warranty items as well as duration.
Step 3 : Contract

Contract Signing
The contract will include:
- Work Schedule: Outlining the approximate start and end dates, along with working hours
- Payment Terms: The contract will clearly state the payment schedule, acceptable methods of payment, and important milestones. Jack Built ensures all parties sign to finalize the agreement.
- Payment Schedule: Outline payment terms, e.g., 30% upfront, 40% after major milestones, and 30% upon completion.
- Project Schedule: Provide estimated start and finish dates and clarify workdays to accommodate the client’s preferences.
- Scope of Work: All the details of your project as agreed.
Step 4 : Project Execution
- Off Site Work: Most often there's work to be done before we start on-site. This would include engineering, design, permit application, special order materials as well as connecting all the details to assemble the plan.
- Begin Work: We start the project as scheduled, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship throughout.
- Progress Updates: We keep the client updated on the project progress and communicate any unforeseen changes or additional needs.
- Post-Construction: Upon completion, Jack Built will ensure the project area is clean and ready for use. We will also conduct a walkthrough with the client to confirm satisfaction and address any final questions.
