A TimberTech Deck Installation
As an Ottawa composite deck contractor we take pride in the fine details to achieve a professionally finished deck. This is a TimberTech composite deck built in the Nepean neighborhood and about 16′ x 16′ which has 3 steps and 2 of those being corner wrap arounds. A permit with the City of Ottawa was not required for this project as it was under 24″ in height.
Along with the deck we installed an interlock patio in the backyard which adds some depth to the design. And matched with some small shrubs at the front it has a perfect balance of soft and hard finishes.
While we don’t advertise our interlock work, we do often integrate it into our designs.
This was part of a whole home landscaping project which everything we re-done front to back and this Ottawa composite deck was a great accent the backyard. On this project we did use the existing footings as there were in good shape and hadn’t moved in 20 years
The deck boards were installed using a hidden fastener system for a clean, modern look. The deck also features a double picture frame border in an alternate color from the main deck. The color contrast looks great and matches the interlocking stone. The double border is often implementer to add a bit of extra width the deck as the composite deck boards come in specific lengths.
